Marida Rizzuti

Marida Rizzuti graduated in Musicology at the Università di Pavia with a thesis on Kurt Weill’s musicals. She is currently completing her PhD in Comparative Literature at the IULM, Milan on the myth of Pygmalion in literature, music theatre and cinema, as exemplified by One Touch of Venus and My Fair Lady. In 2007 she obtained a research grant from the Kurt Weill Foundation, New York to study One Touch of Venus. Her research interests cover American music theatre, Exilforschung and processes of fusion in musicals covering Broadway and Hollywood.
