Dear students,
We are pleased to inform you that the Global Model United Nations (GMUN) is inviting you to take part in this year’s edition on the 24th-25th-26th of October (online).
Global Model United Nations (GMUN) is an annual event simulating the United Nations. GMUN is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding between the public universities of Rome and the International Fund for Agricultural Development of the United Nations IFAD.
The first edition was launched in 2019, by the students of the B.A. of Global Governance at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
GMUN aims at giving students the possibility to learn and apply basic diplomatic courtesy, learn about current international challenges, and develop their personal skills in public speaking, negotiation, debating, research, and problem-solving. Also, it facilitates the opportunity to network with aspiring young professionals.
Applications are officially open and will close on the 12th of October for Delegates, applications can be submitted here. As for the Chairperson’s applications, the deadline is the 5th of October and they can be submitted here.
GMUN believes in equal access to opportunities for all youth; therefore, it does not charge any registration fees and participation in the event is free of charge.
Every year, GMUN invites prestigious guests to join the event to share their experiences and knowledge with all the participants. The speakers are all leading actors coming from different professional fields, making this event truly interdisciplinary in its nature.
