Consumers

The research unit, set up within the Faculty of Law of the Carlo Cattaneo University – LIUC, is examining the complex framework of regulations intended to ensure a balanced protection of consumers. Its goal is that of confirming: a) whether these provide appropriate and adequate protection of consumer rights in the face of distributors and producers of food products, paying particular attention to transnational cases; and b) whether the private solutions in defence of consumers, both as individuals or as a collective, can indirectly contribute to guaranteeing the compliance with safety regulations and the quality of agricultural and food products.
