COMPETITION 24 places among those 12 scholarships (2 are for non-EU residents only).
SCHOLARSHIP The amount of the scholarship consists in 1,136.53€ per month. An increase of the 50% is accorded during the research period abroad.
ADMISSION According to the evaluation of qualifications and an oral test.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE

 Every PhD candidate will have to demonstrate an advanced knowledge about the English language during the oral test.
QUALIFICATIONS EVALUATION

 The following qualifications will be taken into account:

  1. a motivation letter, whose length is 2,000 characters  (in English or Italian);
  2. two letters of introduction either in English or Italian, closed and sealed by each author;
  3. master theses or an equivalent one (the digital format is preferred);
  4. publications;
  5. job certifications produced by research institutions were the candidate has worked;
  6. a research project, either in English or Italian,
ORAL TEST

 27th September 2010 at 9:30 am, at the “Sala Videoconferenze” in the Faculty of Political Science (address: Corso Strada Nuova 65 in Pavia) or, for foreign citizens, by videoconference on request.

The PhD candidate will attach her/his CV to the qualifications file.

The evaluation results and the consequent admissions to oral test will be publicized no later than the September 15th 2010.

Candidates will view their results by connecting to a restricted area with their login account (that will be communicated after the application). The results will be also advertised on the Faculty notice board at University of Pavia.
